Good Mornings

Good Mornings

written by: Flash

I wake up to new beginnings
Each new sunrise a new day
I’m happy just to be here
Making progress on my way
I walk my land in silence
Taking stock of what I find
Another peaceful morning
In the moment’s endless time
There’s nowhere that I have to be
Nothing I have to do
And yet I’m very busy
Many projects to work through
And if there’s nothing that I choose
To do on this fine day
It will be there tomorrow
Waiting till I pass its way
Some don’t understand this
Never happy with what’s here
Once I stood beside them
Trying to see what once was clear
The constant pace and hustle
With its mind numbing debate
To keep up with the status
God forbid we finish late
By chance I stopped to listen
To the wind blow through the trees
Its voice was so compelling
That I sank down to my knees
To here the wind so whisper
Was a miracle to me
The conversations heard there
Served to set this poor soul free
So now I stand in silence
Doing done in its own time
And how is that determined?
Schedule set by peace of mind
