Grace of The Moon

Grace of The Moon

written by: Tamara Yancosky

If I had the grace of the moon,
I would light my enemies’ path
despite the stark darkness
in which they sought
to swallow me.

If I had the grace of the moon,
I would glow blue ribbons
alongside the blackest of oceans
to reveal its marble splendor
for all to savor.

If I had the grace of the moon,
I would cast gleaming pearls
along the deserted crevices
of downtrodden hearts
to make them believe
in love again.
