Happiness is a Choice

Happiness is a Choice

written by: Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Dancing through chaos
With a lighthearted grin
Facing calamity
With not trace of chagrin
The world is a mess
It’s sad but it’s true
For some it’s a test
We must simply get through
But what is the point if we merely struggle
If there is no joy to balance the pain
If all that we see is the pain and the trouble
We only break even, there is nothing to gain
But if we are faithful
And let our light shine
Try to be grateful
Share the love that we find
In each precious moment
There’s always something to give
To be a proponent
Of a life fully lived
Remember to smile
At the small silly things
Forget today’s trial
Free your heart, feel its strings
To soar beyond troubles, worries, or cares
We know that tomorrow it will still be there
But life I have found is always a choice
We can wallow in sorrow
Or raise our voice to rejoice.
