Happy New Year

A year passed by,
And a new one arrived.
Filled with opportunities,
A chance to build and thrive.
That’s what I like,
About the new year.
You can start life again,
Without any fear.
You have another chance,
To right the wrongs of the past.
But this can only work,
If you take control of life fast.
Don’t waste too much time,
And work on what you need.
Lazing around won’t help you,
What will help is your deed.
On some days you will achieve success,
And even losses you shall taste,
But don’t dwell on these defeats,
Or another year you shall waste.
