Hard Times

Hard Times

This town isn’t getting any easier,
Draft, holes in the roof breezier,
Working so hard bills rise, wages hit all time low,
While politicians argue about which gentleman’s club to go.
Children wearing clothes from charity,
Bank manager needing clarity,
Pay back the loan as soon as you can,
Ready to ask another rich man.
Talk on tv of fairness and equality,
Yet the MP’s and bigwigs get ten times more than me,
Just want a little share of the wealth,
So all can have good food and health.
