Hell’s Fire

Hell’s Fire

Smoke
Like snow blown by wind
Drifts across the glade
Curling from under a pot
Swinging over coals.
Aroma like coffee
Liquid-like broth
Color like blackened bread
It is a pot of tarnished souls
Boiling pure over hell’s fire.
