Hiking in The Mountains with The Dead

written by: Małgorzata Kulisiewicz

translated by: Anna Luberda-Kowal

An enchanted bee
is tearing the silence,
illusions
crunching underneath our feet.
Up there
leucoma off my eyes,
I can see the world anew.
You descend
to the other side.
I return alone,
finding delight
in a petal
of a four-leaf clover
and a miracle
in a cornflower blooming
and a mountain brook,
– the mirror
of my healed vision.

WĘDRUJĘ Z UMARŁYMI W GÓRY

written by: Małgorzata Kulisiewicz

Zaklęta pszczoła
rozdziera ciszę,
złudzenia
chrzęszczą pod stopami.
Tam na górze
bielmo z oczu,
widzę świat na nowo.
Schodzicie
na drugą stronę.
Wracam samotnie,
dostrzegam radość
w płatku
czterolistnej koniczyny
i cud
w kwitnieniu bławatka
i górskim strumieniu,
– zwierciadle
uzdrowionego wzroku.
