Holiday Inflatables Take to the Air

Holiday Inflatables Take to the Air

written by: Ellen Foos

The electric company warns of high winds,
secure your lawn decorations,
avoid powerline accidents, snowman decapitations
and Santa strangulations.
Maybe the Grinch will land in your neighbor’s pool
or Snoopy tangle in the highest tree.
Safest to leave the jolly tribe deflated in the grass
like an assortment of colorful garbage bags.
Take heed from the Macy’s Parade, a strong rope is a godsend,
when the wind lifts hard, the balloons stay within reach.
Reindeer really do know how to fly.
