I Am The Sky

I Am The Sky

I am the sky
that looks down
at the rolling waves,
birds who float
in misty spaces,

seals who circle
the boats and buoys,
and dolphins
who bob their heads
in choppy waters.

I am the ultimate recycler,
a sustainable saint
that transforms the day
into night,
work into rest,
old age to youth,
and death into birth.

I partner with
the sun gods,
the sea goddesses
and the spirits
of the wind.

I am the home
of those who died,
sharing their memories
in the glory
of my horizon.

I am the sky
who writes P-E-A-C-E
in bold white letters,
and implores the world
to follow the rainbow.
