I’m from a small town in southern Ohio right where the Scioto river meets the Ohio river called West Portsmouth.
- What do you cherish most about the place you call home?
It’s the kind of place that your best friend at 50 years old is the kid you met in 1st grade. It also is a place that wether we like each other all the time or not if someone needs help everyone steps in. We’re all family and friends. I lived up north for 20 years and now I’m so glad to be back home and looking forward to the future. It’s a beautiful place.

I write about how I’m feeling in the moment. Writing how I feel is like therapy.

Normal
He has mental health problems.
He’s not a normal guy.
But what was normal 30 years ago is now not so cut and dry.
- What is your pet peeve?
Someone who lacks respect or manners. I was raised to show everyone respect and using your manners shows that you respect the person you’re talking to.
- How would you describe the essence of Larry Vernier Sr?
That’s tough. I would say I’m adaptable. I have been through some very hard times and I just changed myself a bit and moved forward. I stay positive during crisis times and just find the solution.
