I Have A Dream

I Have A Dream

written by: Glo Curl

I have a dream as many people do
Much bigger than my childish dreams of old;
The ones that had a chance of coming true
And when they did I felt like I’d struck gold

I have a dream as many people do
Much bigger than my dreams of later years
The ones that started small then grew and grew
Until they shattered, drowning me in tears

I hear the words of Martin Luther King
A dream I have that never goes away
That every hill and mountain top will ring
Of freedom and equality one day

I have a dream as many people do
To stem the cancer of the lungs of Earth
The oceans to recover and renew
Our planet thrive and flourish in rebirth

I have a wish beyond the hopes of men
To see an end to famine and to war
No power but the power of the pen
A world with trust and fairness at its core

I have a dream that peace will come to stay
No argument, no missile, tank or gun
That greed and hate will be of yesterday
And love will fill the hearts of everyone
