I would have poured my feelings out
like the clouds spill out the rain.

If I knew it was the last time I would talk to you,
I would have done things differently
not just confided my deeply rooted trust.

If I knew it was the last time I would talk to you,
I would have prayed for time to stop
so I could become encapsulated in the moment.

If I knew it was the last time I would talk to you,
I would say all of my unspoken thoughts,
leave no unanswered questions, and shed my soul.

If I knew it was the last time I would talk to you,
I would have courageously confessed
I was lifted into love … by  you.
