In the Beauty of the Sky
written by: Nick Adigu Burke
It won’t be a sin to dry your eyes, for upon my death,
I will always be there – in the beauty of the Sky:
I’ll be the shimmer in pearly Moonlight;
And the glide seen in Bird-flight.
I’ll be the crimson painted on the Sunrise;
And the warm arms of Sunshine.
I’ll be the silver brushstrokes of Cloud-edge;
And the dusktime embers of Sunset.
I’ll be the calm in settling Snow;
And the vivacity of lightning bolts.
I’ll be a Rainbow:
An abiding memory – after the storm has gone;
A secret smile to say ‘you’re not alone.’
An arched angel to gift you hope.
