Isle of Tree

Isle of Tree

written by: Angel Edwards

crossroads of Comox and Jervis
I am a stay at home tourist

a beautiful centre piece
small island with one
solo tree resident

vibrant flowers
assemble underfoot
to sit at the roots
as ornament

songbird houses sway
in mid May breeze
tiny wooden cottages
occupied by chickadees

envious neighbour birds
admire the island
watch from their home trees
