Light in your Darkness..!!

They said, “The darkness pinions!!”
And.. I opposed.
It snugs us nearer than a mother
and breathes hope into our hearts.
Blackness as a twilight could be loved,
Cherished like our choicest thing;
right up until we egress the blocks,
it too has no grounds to lurk either.
If it was simple to discern darkness,
if one could differentiate in Dark and Light,
if only we could know our own selves;
the quandaries wouldn’t even exist.
We are the dramatis personae of our own story.
What, why and whom to fear?
Undo these concealed unlit cages
because Light succeeds every Darkness.
Born in the breathtakingly beautiful vale of Kashmir, Monika Ajay Kaul has had her schooling done there. A Post-Graduate in Business Management from New Delhi, an Academician by profession.
