Limits

Limits

written by: Samuel Torontour

The sky has no limits
I will take my example from the sky
I will reach beyond myself, beyond my fear, and aim for the stars
I will try to escape my self-made booby traps, the things I do unconsciously to trip myself up, to live up to an underestimation of my abilities that somehow cemented in my mind
I will overcome the oppression of my guilt, the voice of blame yelling from above, the finger-pointing hypocritical monster that erodes joy, in favour of injunctive control, the ultimate prison of our own design
I will ride waves of imagination, surfing ecstatically through the great pool of wondrous ideas and endless possibilities
I will leap, without reservation, soul first into unknown waters, exploring all ideas with an unquenchable desire to evolve
I will seek to realize all my potential, unfettered by the weight of other people’s fear or lack of imagination
I will continue steadfast on my journey of discovery, for this is my meaning, my purpose
And I will try to live like the sky, and maybe I can point to the stars and show the way beyond limits
