Litter

Litter

written by: Navila Nahid

I would spend
the rest of my life
carving your name
into all the pieces
of this world.

I would spill
all the red
from my body
and paint
each carved piece,
vibrant.

And maybe,
just maybe
you would follow
all that glisten
to me: a tomb,
you’d litter
with your roses.
