Look Who’s Talking

What is there to talk about?
Anger you hurl at me
As about you abruptly turn
And down the hall walk away from me
I have
my deep abiding faith in you
I have
my hopes my dreams for you
I have
my cares my worries for you
I have
my heart that aches for you
I have
my soul that prays for you
I have
my lungs that breathe for you
But sealed stay my lips
Shame, bowed my head
And I,
Beating heart dread,
Rise to follow you where?
Then sit down knowing you do not care
So there you go
And here I sit
You believing I do not care
Believing I do not love you
Knowing all I do
Never good enough for you
So what is there to talk about?
We have nothing to say.
