Mistakes

Mistakes

Sometimes I dream my memories,
Fill them with glory of a life gone.
I experience my whole youth in them,
And all the reckless things I’ve done.

Sometimes, I fall into my thoughts,
Chasing the time when it moved slow,
To the moments filled with things
I didn’t yet need to know.

Sometimes I still travel back,
To the places from my past,
I travel back to the people
Whom I already know how to trust.

Sometimes I want it all back
To relive these long-lost days,
To be silly, young and wrong,
To make the same old mistakes.
