Moonlit Eyes

Moonlit Eyes

Moonlit eyes ever watchful for the searching spies of the timeless night,
Moonlit eyes calculating the constellation and numbering the woes of your broken world,
Moonlit eyes in which tears no longer well, tilted towards the lunar satellite, with all your precious love lost,
Moonlit eyes wrapped tight within the long black cloak of the hour, hiding from dawn’s first piercing light,
Moonlit eyes better days shall yet be yours to know and with them your astral vigil will end.
Moonlit eyes the boundless white glow that watches over and touches your troubled soul is mine.
