Moscow Winter

Moscow Winter

written by: Chloe Gilholy

It’s always snowing in a Moscow winter
That’s what they always said to me
It’s something I would have like to have seen,
But I wouldn’t know as I’ve never been
Past the candy temples and twirled rooftops
It’s not my Instagram that captured the moment
Of white trees, deep footprints and marble skies.
I’ve heard the tales of Russian spies and agents
Scattered in stories old and new
It makes me think of
What lovely landscapes are spoilt by carbon mismanagement
There’s always somebody or something
That spoils the wonderful works of human and Mother Nature
We hear many things about things in Russia
The good and the bad
But all countries are like that in their own way
I still want to go and set my own mark there.
