My Light

My Light

written by: Rumsha Fatima

Debut of stars, the last trace of sun
Lost morning bliss! Who knows will return?
Symphony of dusk, the evening twilight
Cloaked in tranquil, the dark of night
To nowhere I go, the Hope to me will stride

How many I counted, were colours bright
Blurry spectra of joys caught my sight
But remains vacant my heart of pleasures
For a ray will cross through & make it alive
To nowhere I go, the Hope to me will stride

How many I took, were steps to the past
To find my smile which has then survived
The mirror ruthless, laughs on teary eyes
Shock today is, for the spark has revived
To nowhere I go, the Hope to me will stride

How many I lost, were friendship ties
To abandon the hate in love disguise
New strangers now claim the same ride
Of those who left me but not their pride
To nowhere I go, the Hope to me will stride

The ones who strive, nay resist
Bear torch of patience & divine gist
All paths I walk on, to every turn I miss
There waits a survivor of a novel fight
To nowhere I go, the Hope to me will stride

The time has gone, never will my light
To seventh of skies due is my flight
Extinguish, the spell, works not on my fire
Cliched but every twist of my fate I admire
To nowhere I go, the Hope to me will stride
