October

October

written by: Miroslava Panayotova

October is knocking at the door
And “enter” was the quick answer.
Leaves fall to the ground.
Summer and field are deserted.

Distant mists unlock,
The frost will soon give birth,
And the sun, though eternal,
Will warm the winter waters.

Seasons change easily
And we change with them.
Until recently we sang children’s songs,
And now we are counting the grapes.
