Where

Where

written by: Jeff Flaig

Where should I find eyes,
hued petals in early spring,
that glisten and reveal
the swooning of my heart?

Where should I find hope,
the soft touch of another,
in the warm caress of desire
that smells of morning dew?

Where should I find lips,
the tingle of light rain,
like sprinkling kisses
falling upon my neck?

Where should I find fire,
the passion of a tinder heart,
that inspires natural longing
and ignites this tempered soul?

Where should I find a woman,
a quiet stream in tall grass,
to lay beside while dreaming
in the shade of a blue sky?

Where should I find her,
but on a lovely afternoon,
near the fields of longing
in the garden of your heart.
