Precious Sips

written by: James Bell

Red wine, frozen in time, carelessly dripped from her seemingly clay cold lips
Her love, measured in oh such precious sips
Came fleetingly in fractured dreams as a sign
I still lie awake, the truth unsaid, waiting to taste her long since forgotten ruby lips on mine
