I think it’s ok
To bury pieces of yourself in peace
Without talking about it
Without dancing a final dance with it

To ask
“What the fuck was that?”
Removing that hat
Never to wear it again
That was a “you” in training
At least you tried
It didn’t fit

My name is Heidi, born in Washington State, currently living in Honolulu Hawaii. I am married and have one magical daughter. I have loved writing since I was a child. It has always been an outlet and a comfort for me. It’s how as an introvert I recover from the World. Nothing makes my heart as full as when I write something I am truly proud of. That ache inside as it slowly evaporates as the words spill onto the paper.
