When her texts back
Read a million words of
“I don’t care”
She says I’m her best
Over and over I test
No love here
Was the love always lost?
Too blind to see
Or just afraid of me
She laughs in my face
And all over behind me
She thinks she’s safe
Looking at my back

Just not yet to me
In the dark corners
Of her tainted mind
How does she think of me?
Wishing a life like mine?
Thrown me away
Like wasted time

My name is Heidi, born in Washington State, currently living in Honolulu Hawaii. I am married and have one magical daughter. I have loved writing since I was a child. It has always been an outlet and a comfort for me. It’s how as an introvert I recover from the World. Nothing makes my heart as full as when I write something I am truly proud of. That ache inside as it slowly evaporates as the words spill onto the paper.
