Running
written by: Rayna More
I wish I could stop.
Just stall,
for a moment.
Time is flying by,
faces,
swirling past.
Why can’t I stop
running,
running,
running.
My feet,
slapping hard.
I’m so fast
nobody can see me.
Blisters engulf my toes.
I try to grab their hands,
but I’m too fast,
already gone.
Gone,
gone,
gone.
Gravity can’t hold me,
won’t slow me.
I just can’t stop running.
