Simple Pleasures

Toast soldiers,
soft-boiled eggs,
a cup of coffee,
a sunny day.
A walk through a garden,
sunlight on water,
the sound of rain on a roof.
Time spent with loved ones;
time spent alone,
daydreaming.
Reading a good book.
having a laugh.
An afternoon nap.
Dreaming sweet dreams
Your dog wagging its tail
when you come home.
Your cat jumping on your lap as you watch TV.
