Sonic Certitude and Servitude

written by: Heath Brougher

Writing writhesome reviews
of a raucous racket
reaching through otoliths and eardrums
to puppet the Consciousness with spurious movements.
Sound waves flail, ablaze in vibratory disharmony
as the Great Blare cannot be drowned out.

Even those whose ears have died a sonic death
are victimized as the caterwauling continues
its cultivation through bricks of Braille—
the barrage of echoing audio assault
by means of omnipresent aural abrasiveness.
