Splinter

You’re under my skin
Just keep digging in
And I can’t help but pick pick pick at you
My favourite sin
Sweet stings of memories
The more I remember the deeper you sink
Where do I put it?
These moments that I bury
Afraid to put my voice around them
I’ll never be ready
So I’ll keep picking
In the dark sharp edges of my soul
As you work deeper
And we become one
