  1. Where, do you hail from?

I currently hail from Salzburg, Austria, but I’m originally from a small town called Unna in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

  1. What is the greatest thing about the place you call home?

I guess the great mountains and definitely the historical background of the city. As you may know, Salzburg is the city of the musician and composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Everyone is pretty proud of living here, you can still visit Mozart’s birthplace and the house where he used to live in. Salzburg is full of culture, music and art, you’ll find a lot of inspiration here.

  1. What turns you on creatively?

Music turns me on creatively, it’s my inspiration for everything. There’s no time when I don’t listen to music, I’m a total music addict. I always choose fitting songs for my poems and short stories. It’s way easier for me to imagine the scenes I’m writing with music.

  1. What is your favorite word, and can you use it in a poetic sentence?

My favorite word is darkness, I use it a lot in my poems;

Nobody saw the struggles I took, to free from the claws of my personal darkness.

  1. What is your pet peeve?

That’s a good question! I guess I’m a grammar freak, I always go crazy when someone writes the easiest words in German totally wrong. That drives me nuts.

  1. What defines Jasmin Mödlhammer?

Hmm what defines me, that’s a pretty difficult question. I guess I’m pretty determined and stubborn. When I want something really bad, I get it, no matter how far or difficult the path is. That can be good in some cases, but sometimes I guess I’m annoying my people. Haha
