Stumbling

Stumbling

written by: Fotoula Reynolds

After the love-storm
Passion beyond delirium
Becomes a ruthless falsity
And lust without urgency has
The softness of a petal

Behind the shimmer
Streaks of cloud
Move with lightness and grace
A dynamite of fireflies
Belonging to the night
Displays true in the writing

A broken spirit takes so much
Bitterness to make it sweet
In the flurry of youth
I broke my own heart
As I was not yet qualified to observe
