I have learned selfishness
from those who give
and
from those who receive.
I have seen greed live in those
who have
and
in those who not.
I have witnessed dishonesty
in truth
and
honesty in lies.
I have watched addicts reject
and
the sober crave.
I’ve watched as those in the middle burn of hateful judgment
not realizing
they are both the
addict and the sober of all things combined.
