Desmonia was a very pretty girl and the apple of her father’s eye. The other girls in town hated her. They were jealous because she always got attention, especially from the boys. It wasn’t Desi’s fault and she tried to be friendly. Still, they ignored her and gave her dirty looks.

One night, they invited her to a sleepover. Desi was so excited thinking they had changed their minds about her. Her father didn’t want her to go as he didn’t trust the girls. Desi begged and he gave in saying if she was unhappy to call him and he would pick her up. She arrived at Suki’s house and it was dark. Knocking on the door, nobody answered. About to turn away she heard a voice. “Come on in Desmonia. We’re all waiting for you.” Slowly walking in she didn’t see anyone. Deciding to leave she turned but two hands grabbed her. “Let me go! Please let me go home! Laughter rang out and she felt pain in her face. Someone had punched her. She started to cry. “You are Never going home again! Tonight you die!” Desmonia screamed as a sharp object drove into her heart. With her last breath, she called out for her father.

The next day her father went to pick her up. Suki told him that Desmonia never arrived and she figured she couldn’t make it. Her father went crazy with worry. After going to the police he drove around hoping to find her. He walked into the woods and prayed to find his daughter. Dirty and angry he went home. A week later the police called him to identify a body. As he went over to the slab in the coroner’s office his eyes widened. There was his daughter, the light of his life since losing his wife.

There she lay, lifeless and bruised, with cuts all over her. He turned to ask what happened. The coroner said that she had been brutally murdered, her heart stabbed repeatedly and they found her in the river where some of the creatures had gotten to her. A howl of pain sounded in the room as her father fell to his knees in mourning. Anger burned through him. Even though they had no clues as to who did this, he did. Getting up he asked the body to be given to him for a proper burial. The coroner refused but then he saw the look in the man’s eyes.
That night Desmonia was being prepared for a proper funeral. He sat looking at his little girl and wanted revenge. Leaving the funeral home he knew what he had to do.

When he got inside the house he went down to the basement where a chest lay sealed with a heavy lock. Pulling a key out he opened it and took out a huge book that was dusty with age. His ancestors had dabbled in dark arts, but his own parents had forbidden it. They had locked the book away for decades. Now he wanted to get revenge for his child. Looking through the pages he saw what he needed. Taking a picture with his phone he put the book back and left.

It was almost midnight when he got back to the funeral home. His daughter was in the dress she loved and she looked beautiful even in death. Taking out his phone he looked at the words. It was a spell to bring back the dead. He knew that sometimes they didn’t come back the same but he didn’t care. All he wanted was his daughter back, alive. With shaky hands, he began to chant. He was to say it three times and as he said the last, the clock chimed midnight.
A wind whipped through the room and a howl sounded. Holding his ears he didn’t notice movement in the casket. When he walked over, he saw his daughter opening her eyes. So happy, tears fell and he leaned over. “Desi, my baby you’re back. I missed you.” The face looked up and grinned. In a raspy voice, she said, “Yessss, father I’m back, and very Hungry!!!!”

Hands grabbed him and he screamed as sharp teeth ripped into his neck, the blood flowing out. The sound of slurping could be heard and then the body of the man fell to the floor. What was once Desmonia was now a demon whose hunger was enormous. She climbed out of the casket and leaned down. “Sorry fatherrrrrrr….thank you for snackkkkkk.” Laughing evilly her two feet dragged on the floor as she looked for more humans to feast on. She knew just the ones she wanted.

It was late when the creature found the house where the human body she once had was murdered. The streets were quiet as it was late. Climbing up the side of the house she sniffed the air. The ones who killed the vessel were inside and talking. Listening she heard them laughing. “Suki, are you sure nobody will know what we did to Desmonia?” Suki laughed and looked into the mirror, admiring herself. “Oh stop being such a baby. That bitch deserved it. Besides we did her a favor. She wasn’t going to ever leave her daddy. Plus now we get the attention and all the boys come to us. Nobody is ever going to find out. Dumping her in that river was brilliant.” The other girls nodded and they laughed. The demon growled, fury ripping through her black soul. The hunger becoming more and more urgent. She waited.

When the lights went out the demon climbed through the window, which the stupid girls had left open. She slowly looked at each one and knew that the leader would be last. Opening the door she went to see if anyone was there. No sounds came. “So, they are alone. Well, time to eat!” Walking back she stood next to one of them, her mouth open wide, rows of sharp teeth dripping with saliva. A movement, and then a scream as she bit into the neck. Blood flowed down her throat and a sick moaning could be heard.
The light turned on and the others screamed upon seeing their friend being ripped open and the person they murdered drinking her blood. Suki screamed out. “You can’t be alive. We killed you! I’m going to call the police and they’ll put you in jail.” Desmonia finished with her first snack laughed and turned, wiping her mouth. Her eyes flashing black, she cackled, “You won’t have time to dial bitch!” She slowly walked to the others. “I am very Hungry!!!!” Leaping on the two other girls she ripped out their throats as they screamed and drank until they fell dead on the bed.

Suki opened the door, running toward the stairs. Desmonia laughed evilly and followed slowly. She wasn’t going anywhere. When Suki reached the front door, a clawed hand grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back. Tears fell down the girl’s face as she was dragged on the floor. “Please, please Desmonia. Please don’t hurt me. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to kill you. I just didn’t want you to get all the attention. Please forgive me. Please!!!” Desmonia, grinned, blood dripping down her face. She moved to stand over her. “There is no more Desmoniaaaaaaa, there is only me and I am HUNGRYYY!!!” Suki’s eyes widened in fear as the mouth of the demon opened wide. Screams of pain filled the house as the demon ripped the girl apart in a frenzy drinking her blood until the body was a husk.

The next day, the news and police were there to find out what happened to the four girls. Their bodies were empty of blood and the one downstairs had been ripped to shreds. She was so unrecognizable her mother fainted upon seeing her. The funeral director had found Desmonia’s father on the floor drained of blood that morning. He looked into the coffin and there lay his daughter, a smile on her face and a few drops of blood on her lips.

Some say revenge came to call, others are unsure. One thing was certain. Desmonia’s hunger was sated.
