The Last Line

The Last Line

written by: Simon Drake

I don’t have any space in my life for negativity
You crossed the last line I was prepared to draw
You antagonised and provoked me continuously
Ironically, the epitome of the final straw

Mind continuously playing the cruelest of tricks
Have you any idea of the damage you caused
I know now you never really ever loved me
Such sinister acts deserve sarcastic applause

A calculated manipulative gaslighting narcissist
Unbelievable beauty your hypnotic disguise
Is it any wonder I fell for you, hook, line and sinker
Is it any wonder I bought and paid for those lies

I wonder how many hearts you’ve actually broken
Impervious to accountability, guilt and shame
Now I know why you wanted to keep me a secret
Once you’d used me, you could do it again
