The Night of All Nights

The Night of All Nights

written by: Bruce Levine

Voices heard at twilight
Waiting for the midnight hour
Singing from the grave

Ghoulish apparitions
Phantoms floating
Demons and goblins abound

The night of all nights
When witches’ brews
Bubble in cauldrons
And Dracula drinks
An extra pint of blood

A prism refracting
With extraordinary light
Like mists of ectoplasm
Or the cloud of ghosts
Passing through walls

The essence of Halloween
Revealed in one night
The thinning of the veil

Focused on the netherworld
The realm of the dead
And the Night of All Nights
