The Quiet Ache of Almost

The Quiet Ache of Almost

written by: Jessica S.

A momentary elapse in energies,
erupting into quiet discovery.
Sacred moments, echoed desires,
drunken tenderness — encapsulated chemistry.

The tug of war
between fantasy and reality,
where hearts hover
and bodies remember.

Imminent landing without safety,
courageous acts of love without certainty.
An emotional dance with two irregular beats,
recognition without explanation.

The softest familiarity in body language,
mirrored pain, blinded sight, bonded freedom,
intentional frequencies met with impossible timing.
Tangled in a love that breathes,
unconsciously awakening.

The quiet ache of almost.

The warmth of trust.
The flutters of hope.
Electrical volts carried through enchantment.

Steadiness in the sweetest form,
nurtured from the ground up.

Even without certainty,
we’re still being written.
