The Rape of Autumn Ash
written by: Joyce Butler

I long to hide away again in Summer
under green.
As cool winds blow seducing them
my virgin Autumn leaves.
I cannot make my branches stop
this slow seduction scene,
stripping me bare
my rustling hair
lies fallen,
as I scream.
