The Scary House

The Scary House

written by: Jacek Wilkos

The creaking of steps of old wooden stairs
The noise of nails scratching that’s piercing your ears
Blood dripping doors and whispering walls
Broken windows filled with floating shadows

In slumber it waits for almost a year
It comes back to life for only one day
It welcomes the ones who do not feel fear
Will you take a step through its threshold today?
