The Snowdrop

The Snowdrop

written by: Nina Taylor

The humble snowdrop shows her face
A dainty flower so full of grace
A light that shines in winter dark
A lovely sight when all is stark
Through the ground her head rears high
A welcome sign that spring is nigh
While woodlands rest in winter sleep
A hibernation long and deep
While frost and snow may still appear
Little snowdrop shows no fear
Like spring’s first warrior proud and true
She summons life to start anew
