The Spirit of Autumn

Streams ripple russet liquids,
giddy gnats stitch mists of fine silver,
weaving saturated whirls into ribbons of ivory.
Crispy ginger waltzes through a teal atmosphere
whilst a moonstone mirror glints…
Constellations begin to chrome,
Autumnal cheers!
Goddess Tara grants November copper slashes,
turf-matted turmeric swanking her karmic conductor,
her oak baton conjures the ‘Dance of the Golden Fleece.’
Passing phantoms reflect synopsis
to the core of seasons glory.

Autumn’s mystical creations broke August’s heart.
Voiceless leaves scatter into nothingness…
…like old spirits.
Summer’s Queen, Aestas, wispy-weak, numb, sighs.
Sepia razzes spin in joy, tantalising…
Muffled Marigolds droop, breathless,
yellow mops crushed by tear-stained splashes of Angel’s mist.
Shy seeds snooze like dopey orbs…
as Aestas takes to slumber, with no regrets
her soul smiles the colour of yellow.
