The Star

The Star

written by: Avina

A star that gazed upon the ocean
No winter was too harsh for it
It burnt in its fiercest fervor
Much brighter that the moon lit

Its undying passion was evident
Like a crown of jewels it sparkled
No storm, no whirlwind could stop it
It was capable of making its kill

Persistence and perseverance endeavored
Like a human heart constantly beating
Its radiance filled the dark sky
It made the lesser equals sing

The horizon filled itself with wonder and awe
The difference was in this star
It took the only thing that it was good at
It gave it all its power
