The Witch
written by: Mary Bone
The witch sat on a porch
wearing a wicked grin.
She was scaring women, children and men.
Her eyes seemed to scorch
right through my skin.
The witch’s gnarly fingers
pointed in my face.
Bad memories seem to linger,
as across the yard I race.
