Ghost at ‘Dusk’ …

Ghost at ‘Dusk’ …

written by: Bipul Banerjee

At ‘dusk’ in a state of seemingly blurred confusions
The Sun is about to retire and the night to take over
The perfect time for the ghost in me to get out and wander
Willingly I set it out
Free
The smoky image then liberates itself from dusky clutches
Travelling from place to place
Occasionally perching on sliding windows of unknown houses
Every house has housed a ghost or a witch
All masked in human forms
Glorified sacrifices with voracious intentions of trade
The rituals of give and take
Churns out more evil spirits than any Halloweens
All dancing to tunes of lust
At night my ghost returns back
Knocking frantically, urging me to let it in
Haunted by human figures
I open up and let it in
Imprisoning my ghost once again into a few witty verses
