A Supreme Selah

A Supreme Selah

written by: Chyrel J. Jackson

To forget life’s problems and sail away
on the tenor saxophone riffs of John
Coltrane’s, A-Love-Supreme; is to
experience the divine healing balm of
Gilead.
I listen to this music when I’m Happy.
I pull out these songs when I’m Sad.
I play these old Jazz standards on wax
to feel closer to my Dad.
6 years since he’s been gone.
A talented poet once wrote, “All paths
lead to God,” especially my own; Dad’s
God, the Stone of Israel is the most
Supreme Selah of All.
