Time
written by: Chaity Bhattacharjee
When that dark hour strikes,
Every pain intensifies.
The ocean is ever-dark,
With no lighthouse to set your path apart.
Friends and foes blur,
No love seems to prevail
Against that blinding pain.
A ship sails against the wind,
Desperate in its search, making desperate grabs!
Seeking a loving touch,
Yet faced with harshness instead.
Hold on, that’s a friend—
No, never mind; no one can endure
My words, my breath, my very being.
But fear not, dear, for when good times come,
Relief will be felt.
For now, keep your lips sealed,
Endure the heat, and bow down.
Let the wind carry you.
One shall not fail
Let times change
Hold on with your life
Because,
When that dark hour strikes,
Every pain spikes.
