To Dream

To Dream

I long to dream
Family on an evening walk
Strolling in the twilight
The smell of Petrecore
In the humid evening air

My arm linked in my mother’s.
Arm in arm across the bridge
into town my mother‘s voice,
my silence listening.
O To dream again.

The scent of Flowers in bloom
I see a world at peace
The love of family
Happy days and holy days
Let me dream

To dream is to merge
future memories and past events.
if I cannot dream again,
there is no future
But fading shadows of the past
