Where Modesty Meets Destiny

Where Modesty Meets Destiny

As we’d protest, we’d walk on streets. A stroll, mostly. To have our say. Along the sides of the avenue would be a mix of attitudes. PROTEST would blend with MODEST. Sentiments unhinged and unhued. The angry voices were hard to ignore. The hostile taunts were hard to endure. In those moments, I’d recall what I’d been taught.

Inhale. Exhale. Breathe. Be. We. Deserve. An Equal. Destiny.
