White Dresses

innocence
how it is frowned upon
white dresses
flowing
with wonder
now just a rag
trampled on
countless times
ignored
laughed at
the names we have given it:
naive
insignificant
boring
the once treasured
priceless beauty
of an innocent heart
has been sold
for what we call:
passion
power
pleasure
and as the sweet wonder
fades
melts
disappears slowly
so does the love
of an unselfish heart
dissolve

I am a student(MA) and a teacher with a busy schedule, but a lot of thoughts and sentiment I would like to share.
Through my works I want to capture the beauty we so often observe but don't always appreciate . I want to sketch the heart of the inner being of mankind and shed light in the different colors of love that we don't have names for.
